Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel exceeded my expectations. The room with 2 double beds and 2 single beds was spacious, though a bit musty initially, requiring me to open the windows to freshen up the dry atmosphere. The shower didn't work at first, but this was quickly resolved by the attentive staff. The location was perfect, right in the heart of Kilkenny with easy access to all the main attractions. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with some breakfast items running out early, yet the overall value for money was excellent.
Staying at this hotel was truly special. Our wedding package gave us a beautiful room with a great view of Kilkenny Castle and the river, creating a lovely and bright atmosphere. The only downside was being directly above the rock band for our event, which was a bit noisy at times.
My stay at the hotel was pleasant overall. The room had a good variety of amenities, was clean and spacious for two people, with plenty of fresh towels provided daily. The decor and furniture were a bit outdated, which I felt didn't match the nightly rate. However, the cleanliness and comfort made up for it.
The hotel had some mixed aspects: while the rooms were a bit small and stuffy, the stay was comfortable, and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, even allowing us an early check-in before a wedding. However, the heating was lacking during the stay, which made it quite cold inside.
The hotel offered a very nice stay with a first-class experience at a decent price. The lovely view over the river to the Castle was a highlight, but some minor downsides were noticeable.
I had a great stay at the hotel with clean and comfortable rooms and friendly staff. The location was fantastic, close to restaurants and with a beautiful view of the castle. However, the dining experience was a bit disappointing, and the staff's professionalism was a letdown.
The hotel had spacious rooms with plenty of room to move and put luggage, but noise from the elevator was a bit disruptive. Despite a delay in room availability, the scenic river side location was both beautiful and noisy due to its proximity to the function room or bar.
The hotel's location right beside the bridge makes it a bit tricky to access, especially due to poor visibility when exiting. However, the rooms offer a basic but cozy stay, with a complimentary view of the castle and a balcony to enjoy. The service was exceptionally welcoming and attentive to guests' needs, while the dining experience, though good, could use a bit more variety. The hotel's central location in Kilkenny is convenient for exploring the town, with the Norman Castle just across the river visible from some rooms.
The hotel offers comfortable rooms with wonderful views of Kilkenny Castle, but lacks a pool. The service was overall good, although there were instances of rudeness. The location is excellent, right in the heart of town and convenient for sightseeing. The dining experience was mixed, but the Italian products stood out. The hotel facilities were well-maintained and satisfactory.
The hotel is located right in the heart of Kilkenny, offering picturesque views over the river and castle. The rooms were excellent, although it could have been a little warmer when we arrived. The service was outstanding, from reception to housekeeping, leaving our car in the car park was no extra charge. Dining was fantastic, with a good view of the Castle, and the facilities were top-notch.
The hotel was warm and cosy on a dark and cold November evening, though being beside the store room might be a drawback. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-decorated, yet a bit disappointing for the price paid.
The hotel was situated at the riverside, offering a scenic view of the castle, but the rooms felt small and not up to a 4-star standard. The staff had a mix of attitudes, with some being very friendly and welcoming while others seemed judgmental. The location was excellent for exploring the city, close to attractions like Kilkenny Castle, but there were surprising encounters with staff upon departure.
My stay at the hotel was fantastic! The location was ideal, close to all the main shops and bars, and the hotel staff was very kind. The dining experience was fabulous with a good variety of options. However, the rooms were a bit too expensive for the quality, especially being on the first floor just above the alfresco area and kitchen exhaust fan.
The hotel is centrally located, clean, and provides a quiet retreat in the heart of Kilkenny. The room with a balcony offering views of Kilkenny Castle was delightful, making it a highly recommended stay for a short break.
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The room was cozy and warm, with lovely interior design, and it was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The service was top-notch, with friendly and welcoming staff. The location was perfect, right in the center with beautiful views of the castle. The dining experience was good, with a view of the Castle, though there were some limitations. Overall, it was a great place to stay.
